The Makery

Welcome to the Berwick Makery!

The Makery is a quiet and cozy place to hang out and learn new stuff. We are in Berwick School’s family studies room, a great place to cook in their giant learning kitchen, or sew on one of their dozen sewing machines. We’re more than cooking and sewing though, we want to create a space for learning all kinds of traditional skills and non-traditional skills too. We are volunteer-run under the Town of Berwick, and are in the process of building a strong team in a comfortable space with regular sessions every week.

Introducing Open Make Sessions! These are open nights where you have two options: Bring a project you’ve been working on, or have been afraid to start, and work on it in a supportive and friendly environment. We have lots of tools and resources, maybe we have what (or who) you need! Learn something new – you can learn from what others are working on, and we will always have a few things set out to feed your curiosity. Open Make Nights are run by a volunteer Makery Program Facilitator in the Family Studies Room of Berwick District School. For more information, contact Jennifer West at 538-0520.
